Hankook Tire, originating from South Korea, traces its history back to 1960. Today, it has become one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers. Hankook Tire boasts a comprehensive production line that covers multiple product categories, including passenger car tires, commercial vehicle tires, and high-tech tires. In addition to its Shanghai sales headquarters, which serves the entire country, Hankook Tire has established a factory in Nanjing and completed the construction of its second-phase plant in Nanjing in 2005. Furthermore, in 2006, Hankook set up a factory and R&D center in Tianjin. In 2015, Hankook Tire’s Tianjin plant signed an energy contract management cooperation agreement with our company. We provided the Tianjin plant with four IMC intelligent power-saving control devices, helping the company address its internal energy management challenges. From 2015 to the present, our company has collaborated with Hankook Tire to install dozens of such control devices. This year, we have made adjustments to our cooperation model, and we believe these changes will bring even greater benefits to the company.
The “Powtran Technology” variable-frequency drive control cabinet—a new-generation intelligent power-saving control device—meets the operational requirements of various loads. This device features two operating modes: power-saving mode and mains power mode. Through a human-machine interface, users can monitor and control the operating status of the power-saving controller. Equipped with a three-phase watt-hour meter, it allows for comparison of energy consumption under both power-saving and mains power conditions.

1) Excellent soft-start function: By utilizing an intelligent power-saving controller, the motor can gradually accelerate to its normal operating speed over a user-defined acceleration time, thereby effectively reducing mechanical shocks to the equipment. This not only significantly extends the equipment’s service life but also helps lower maintenance and repair costs.
2) Perfect speed regulation characteristics, with three speed control modes: V/F constant-torque control mode, PG-less vector control (SVC) mode, and PG-assisted vector control (VC) mode.
3) Significant energy-saving effects: The continuous rise in energy prices and increasingly stringent energy-saving requirements stipulated in energy legislation across various countries have made energy conservation an essential challenge that all industries must address.
4) The “Intelligent Integrated Power-Saving Controller” features dedicated control systems tailored to the specific characteristics of various types of equipment, delivering excellent power-saving performance. As a high-quality energy-saving device, it is widely used in industries such as ventilation, water supply, plastics, ceramics, dyeing and printing, textiles, oilfields, and hardware, achieving power savings ranging from 10% to 60%.
5) Built-in simple PLC functionality—a multi-segment speed generator. The inverter can automatically control the motor’s operation based on pre-set running times, operating frequencies, and directions, thereby meeting the requirements of the production process.
