Powtran Technology | In the era of the digital economy, let standards do the talking.
2021-12-08
In October 2021, the national standards developed with the participation of Powtran Technology—“Speed-Controlled Electrical Drive Systems—Part 9-1: Ecological Design for Electrical Drive Systems, Motor Starters, Power Electronic Devices, and Their Drive Applications—General Requirements for Developing Energy Efficiency Standards for Electrical Drive Equipment Using the Extended Product Approach (EPA) and the Semi-Analytical Model (SAM)” and “Speed-Controlled Electrical Drive Systems—Part 9-2: Ecological Design for Electrical Drive Systems, Motor Starters, Power Electronic Devices, and Their Drive Applications—Energy Efficiency Indicators for Electrical Drive Systems and Motor Starters”—began to take effect. Over the years, Powtran Technology has attached great importance to building its corporate standardization system. The company serves as an expert member unit for both the “TC518 National Standardization Technical Committee for Variable Frequency Speed Control Equipment” and the “TC60SC1 Subtechnical Committee for Speed-Controlled Electrical Drive Systems.” At the same time, the company has continuously strengthened its team of standardization professionals and fostered a corporate environment that highly values standardization throughout the entire organization.
The "National Standardization Development Outline," recently issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, has been officially released. The Outline sets forth development goals for 2025 and 2035: By 2025, China’s standardization development will achieve “four transformations,” namely, a shift in standard supply from being primarily government-led to a balance between government and market; a shift in standard application from being mainly focused on industry and trade to encompassing the entire economic and social sphere; a shift in standardization efforts from being domestically driven to mutual promotion between domestic and international initiatives; and a shift in standardization development from being quantity- and scale-oriented to quality- and efficiency-oriented.
At the same time, we must also achieve “four objectives”: deepening the comprehensive development of standardization across all domains, significantly elevating the level of standardization, markedly enhancing the openness of standardization, and further solidifying the foundation for standardization development. In doing so, we can ensure that standardization more effectively boosts the nation’s overall competitiveness, promotes high-quality economic and social development, and plays an even greater role in building a new development paradigm.
In the section on key tasks, the Outline sets forth seven major tasks from two perspectives: standardizing services to support economic and social development, and advancing the development of standardization itself. These include perfecting standardized safeguards for green development; establishing and improving standards for peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality; continuously optimizing standards for ecosystem construction and protection; promoting the efficient and intensive use of natural resources; solidifying the foundation of green production standards; and strengthening the guiding role of green consumption standards.
Previously, the industry standard “Energy Efficiency Limit Values and Energy Efficiency Levels for Variable-Frequency Drive Equipment,” in which Powtran Technology participated in revising, has also been officially released. By actively engaging in the development and revision of standards across various industries, Powtran Technology has further enhanced its core competitiveness and promoted the wider adoption of its energy-saving products and services.
